Dr. Skinner received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook before attending the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences for his medical doctorate. He completed his internship at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and completed residency training at Naval Medical Center San Diego.
Prior to joining California Eye Professionals, Dr. Skinner served as a flight surgeon and Ophthalmologist for the United States Navy. In this role, he specialized in cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange, LASIK, SMILE, and ICL surgery.
Dr. Skinner is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
