Dr. Jacobson is a board certified Ophthalmologist and has over 30 years experience in medical and surgical Ophthalmology. He has been specialty Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 1982.
Dr. Jacobson received his medical degree from Chicago Medical School and went on to complete his Internship at the Hospital of Good Samaritan in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Jacobson completed his Ophthalmology residency at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago. He also did post-graduate work in Basic Science of Ophthalmology at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA.
Dr. Jacobson has successfully performed over 10,000 cataract surgical procedures and his surgical technique continues to evolve as new clinical data becomes available. Dr. Jacobson has performed clinical research for such industry leaders as Alcon, Allergan and Novartis.
Dr. Jacobson has been with California Eye Professionals since 1995 and is a dedicated and valued member of our eye care team. Dr. Jacobson enjoys interacting with his patients and addressing their questions and concerns. He spends time educating patients about their eye condition and discusses treatment options with patients and their families. Dr. Jacobson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and Member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons
Dr. Jacobson is married with three children and two grandchildren. He is proficient in Spanish.
