Dr. Erika Saucedo-Sanchez is a fellowship-trained cornea and external disease specialist. She attended the University of California San Diego for undergraduate studies and received her medical doctorate from Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Saucedo-Sanchez obtained extensive general ophthalmology training at the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital (formerly Cook County Hospital) in Chicago, Illinois and went on to complete a fellowship degree in Cornea and External Disease at the University of Florida, Gainesville.
Dr. Saucedo-Sanchez is proficient in and enjoys all aspects of general ophthalmology, but is especially qualified in the diagnosis and management of cornea and external disease, both medically and surgically, including DSEK. She is well versed in all of the latest techniques and treatment protocols for corneal ulcers and infections, degenerations and dystrophies.
